BI 496H
From Genetics to Genomics
The course explores changes in focus in genetics resulting from the availability of whole genomes, specifically human genomes. We will compare and contrast, for example, single-gene related phenotypes against genome-wide association studies, as well as concepts involving networks of interactions among genetic products. The course assumes that students have a good understanding of statistics.
Prerequisites: BI226.
